Recently, the Department of Education of Guizhou Province announced the results of the 4th Guizhou Provincial Quality Course Competition for Music, Fine Arts and Design Teachers in Regular Institutions of Higher Education. The four teachers sent by Moutai Institute all returned with honors, winning one first prize and three second prizes.

Hosted by the Provincial Department of Education, the competition was held in Guiyang in July 2026. It comprised two major divisions — the undergraduate group and the vocational college group — with multiple categories including music, fine arts and public aesthetic education. Teachers from universities across the province competed in teaching design, classroom implementation and teaching innovation, fully demonstrating their teaching competence. All four teachers of Moutai Institute won awards in the undergraduate group: Fu Tingting won the first prize in the Music (Public Aesthetic Education) Teacher Category; Luo Shibin won the second prize in the Fine Arts (Public Aesthetic Education) Teacher Category; and Wang Yuanzhi and Zhang Xia won second prizes in the Fine Arts Teacher Category.
Educating people through beauty and advancing toward beauty. The fact that all participating teachers of Moutai Institute won awards is both a splendid display of their individual teaching prowess and strong testimony to the Institute’s achievements in aesthetic education. From the lecture podium to the provincial stage, these honors embody the teachers’ persistent pursuit of and painstaking dedication to art education. Taking this competition as an opportunity, the Institute will continue to deepen the reform of aesthetic education, let the seeds of art education take root and flourish on campus, and contribute to cultivating more new-generation talents well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education.
