School of Continuing Education, established in 2017,and with its predecessor being the Continuing Education Office of Moutai Institute, is an entity of Moutai Institute dedicated to continuing education. It serves as a key channel for building a lifelong education system and a learning-oriented society.
The school proactively responds to the national strategic needs, firmly adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills. It fully implements the educational philosophy of Moutai Institute's "Trinity": encompassing value shaping, competence development, and knowledge impartment. Leveraging the Institute's outstanding faculty, robust research capability, and extensive social influence, the school integrates high-quality educational resources from industry associations, institutions of higher learning, and relevant organizations to provide society with high-level, high-standard, and high-quality continuing education.
Responsibilities of the School of Continuing Education
Under the leadership of the Institute’s Party Committee and Administration, the school is a functional department responsible for the unified management of continuing education across various categories, levels, and forms. Its main responsibilities are as follows:
1. It adheres to the socialist orientation in running school, implements the Party's and the Country’s policies, laws, and regulations on continuing education, fulfills the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and nurtures diverse talents for the country and society.
2. It formulates and organizes the implementation of the development plan and rules and regulations for the Institute's continuing education, and conducts supervision and management of continuing education work.
3. It is responsible for the academic administration and teaching archives management of the Institute's adult higher academic continuing education and guides other schools (departments) in formulating teaching plans for various majors of academic continuing education while monitoring teaching process quality of academic continuing education.
4. It oversees the student status management of various adult higher academic education programs of the Institute, including reviewing and processing student status changes, producing student IDs, various certificates, and management forms for adult higher academic continuing education, as well as establishing student files for continuing education, collecting basic information of all continuing education students, and handling the transfer of student files.
5. It conducts qualification review for graduates of the Institute's adult higher academic continuing education, and verifies, issues, and reissues graduation and completion certificates.
6. It formulates work plans and relevant rules for non-academic training programs, and develops, implements, supervises, and manages such programs. It is also responsible for the enrollment, promotion, and review of cooperation agreements for these programs, as well as the verification, issuance, and reissue of various non-academic certificates.
7. It undertakes the identification and certificate issuance of vocational skills for the Institute's teachers and students, and conducts vocational skills training, identification, and certificate issuance for external parties.
8. It oversees rewards and punishments in continuing education, including approving awards for outstanding teachers, management staff, excellent teaching achievements, and outstanding graduates in continuing education, as well as the approval of disciplinary actions such as academic probation and above for students.
9. It cooperates with the Institute's financial department to collect, account for, allocate, and supervise continuing education funds.
10. It completes other tasks assigned by the Institute.
